What extraextra.ai keeps, why, and who else handles it, in plain words. Last updated November 1, 2026.
Who runs it
extraextra.ai is run by Element Education. For anything on this page, including a copy of your data or having it deleted, email nick@elementedu.io.
If you have an account
We keep what it takes to run your projects:
- Your account: your email address and password, the date you agreed to the terms, the projects you belong to and your role in each.
- Your projects: their names, the domain and addresses you send from and get replies at, your mailing address and footer, and your forms, groups, campaigns and sequences.
- Your lists: each subscriber's email address, name, custom fields, groups and status, and their consent record: the form or source they came from, the exact words they agreed to, the time, and for signup forms the IP address and browser they used.
- Your sending history: who each email went to, and whether it was delivered, opened or clicked, bounced, or reported as spam.
- The AI Inbox, for projects that have it: the replies your emails get, the drafts written for them, and the answers you send. Also the instructions, questions and answers, web pages and files you add in AI settings.
- Requests to sign up or reset a password, with the email address and IP address they came from, so the forms can't be used to flood someone's inbox.
We use it to run extraextra.ai for you: to send your email, show your results, review new projects, and keep sending healthy for everyone. We do not sell it, and we do not email your subscribers ourselves.
If you are on someone's list
The person or business that emails you decides who is on their list and what they send. They use extraextra.ai to do it. Here is what that means for you:
- Opens and clicks are tracked. Our email provider notes when an email's images load, and links pass through it on the way to where they go, so the sender can see whether you opened an email and which links you clicked. Each click is kept with the time and the IP address it came from, which is how extraextra.ai tells a person from a mail filter that checks every link.
- Every email has an unsubscribe link and a link to update your preferences. Unsubscribing works straight away, and so does your mail app's own unsubscribe button.
- If you signed up through a form, the sender has a record of it: the words you agreed to, the form, the time, and the IP address and browser you used.
- If an email to you bounces for good or you report it as spam, your address goes on that sender's list of addresses not to email again.
- If you reply to an email sent through extraextra.ai and the sender uses the AI Inbox, your reply is kept in their Inbox, where the people on their project can read it, and a copy goes to their own email address.
The AI Inbox
The AI Inbox is in early access and is switched on project by project. When a project has drafting on, each reply it gets is sent to Anthropic's API with the project's own material: its newest sent emails, its questions and answers, the web pages and files it added, the earlier messages in that conversation, and the person's name, email address and groups. Anthropic's model writes a draft answer from them. A person on the project reads the draft, changes what they like, and presses Send. Nothing is sent without that.
Out-of-office and other automatic replies are filed and never drafted. PDF files added in AI settings are also sent to Anthropic once, to turn them into text.
Who else handles it
- Supabase: the database, and signing in.
- Resend: sending email, receiving replies, and telling us about deliveries, opens, clicks, bounces and spam reports.
- Vercel: hosting the website and the app.
- Anthropic: writing AI Inbox drafts and reading PDFs, for projects that use them.
- Google Ads: only when a project connects a Google Ads lead form, in which case Google sends the details people enter in that form to the project's list.
Cookies
extraextra.ai sets two cookies, and only once you sign in: the sign-in session, which keeps you signed in, and mailroom_org, which remembers the project you last worked in. There are no advertising or analytics cookies, and the signup, unsubscribe and preferences pages your subscribers see set none.
Your subscribers are yours to look after
If you have an account, you are responsible for the people on your lists: for having their permission, for what you send them, and for answering their questions and requests about their data. We keep and use their data only to run extraextra.ai for you.
Getting a copy, or having it deleted
Email nick@elementedu.io to ask for a copy of what we keep about you, to have something corrected, or to have your account, a project or your data deleted. If you are on someone's list, you can leave from any of their emails at any time. For anything else, ask the sender, or email us.
